Christy Gorigoita is a licensed Doctor in Clinical Psychology with over 25 years of clinical experience in the hybrid world of arts and science. She obtained her doctorate from Loyola University in Baltimore, Maryland and completed a post-doctoral fellowship at Sheppard Pratt Hospital. She has additional training and specialization in:

Dr. Christy's clients develop emotional and behavioral self-inquiry tools to help them find their own truths, skills and meaning as part of the healing process. She utilizes techniques including EMDR, and Awareness and Movement Practices, as a door to move from clinical symptoms and harming lifestyle choices to a state of self-regulation and awareness of individual potential. Dr. Gorigoitia supports adult populations that are motivated to explore accountability to themselves and inter-connectedness with the world around them. She treats the following presenting issues:​​

​​In addition to her clinical work at West End Counseling & Wellness, LLC (WECW), Dr. Gorigoitia supports prevention and intervention initiative in higher education institutions, including Circadium School of Circus Arts, and provides concierge psychological and consultation services to non-profit agencies and to the private arts sector through Aerial Mind. As a community advocate she is an active member of the Climate Change Psychiatry and Psychology Alliance, and brings the intersection of mental health and climate change to all local political circles to ensure fair policy-making and attention to the well-being of our communities.​​​​​​​​
