Rick is a licensed professional counselor with 30 years of behavioral health experience in community agencies, college counseling and partial hospitalization settings . He earned his Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Kutztown University and is a member of the Lehigh Valley Counseling and Psychological Association (LVPCA) and the American Psychological Association. Rick strives to provide a safe, supportive and collaborative environment for addressing client concerns and challenges.
Rick utilizes an eclectic approach to therapy because he believes that each person is unique and benefits from treatment tailored to their individual needs. His approach is strength-based and incorporates both cognitive-behavioral (CBT) and humanistic therapeutic modalities. He also draws on mindfulness and positive psychology principles and strategies.
Rick is passionate about working with adolescents (age 14+), adults and couples. Rick helps people with many issues including:
