Kristen is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) with experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Her clinical work focuses primarily on relationship health, family dynamics, and helping clients navigate life transitions with clarity and confidence.

Kristen’s approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and grounded in connection. She operates from a person-centered foundation, believing that meaningful change begins when individuals feel truly heard and understood. She also integrates systems theory into her work, recognizing that our relationships, attachment patterns, and family experiences shape how we interact and respond to one another.

In her work with couples, Kristen incorporates principles from the Gottman Method and
attachment-based approaches to help partners strengthen communication, rebuild trust,
manage conflict effectively, and deepen emotional intimacy. She works with couples navigating
marital stress, communication breakdown, parenting differences, life transitions, and
reconnection after periods of distance. Her goal is not simply conflict resolution, but helping
couples build a stronger, more secure partnership.

Kristen also works with families to improve communication, address relational tension,
and foster healthier patterns within the family system. She provides a supportive space where
each member can feel respected and understood while working toward shared goals. She
incorporates her background as an educator and a school counselor to support families
navigating relational and/or educational challenges with one or more members of the family
system.

Clients describe Kristen as empathetic, supportive, and insightful. She believes the therapeutic
relationship itself is a powerful vehicle for growth and healing. Her work emphasizes emotional
safety, practical skill-building, and strengthening the connections that matter most.
